Default The cradle is really only useful if you've got the Nav+ and want to run your phone

without bluetooth through the Nav+.....the cradle connects the phone to a power source for charging and the external antenna for better reception. And you use the Nav+ for the phonebook and controlling the phone....

Default right...

the bluetooth eats up battery juice.

Default Or, to put it in another way: use the cradle if you use the phone a lot and need good reception

It is just as useful without Nav+ because the existence of Nav does not make or break the benefits of the cradle (charging and external antenna connection).

Default so what is the recommendation for a great cell phone?

and that makes a great hookup to the car's nav system?
