I am using the white cable now, which is hooked up to the antenna on the roof. It's suppling my aftermarket sat tuner/alpine.
The Audi fin is an old-style dual coax antenna. Newer styles are single coax.
the one cable being for cellular. the black and white are for SAT. they both work for both carriers. both wires plug into the audi box. I think the two wires are a. SAT and b.TERRESTRIAL.. meaning a. satellite feed, and b. land feed. the newer sat cables have both in one wire. this helps when you go under a bridge, it uses the terrestrial feed. the phone lines above ground, have the sat signal built in, so you're using a land signal to accomodate for lost reception from space.
IN THE PIC u see the white plugged into my tuner. the black is also for sat. the brown and blue are nav and cell. there were ALL located behind that hatch door.

I opened up the rear roofliner before reading your reply and there are 2 sets of cables going into the lower hatch area. I am pretty *certain* I can see the gray foam covering what I hope are the GPS connectors but they are on the outside of the metal bracket behind the small door in the hatch. I can see it through the plastic grill above the small door.
Btw, I just read up on your thread re. the sub and alpine install on Fourtitude. Wow, what a beautiful job! But tell me, how the hell do you gain access to the rear panel??? :-S

I remember the foam being on both sets of cables. One set was readily available behind the swing door. And the other set was hidden a bit yes.
Did you get anything hooked up?
Oh, I have a disconnect system that is accessible when the seats are folded down. I pull the table top forward, then up and back over the sub. More on that later.

I did try hooking up my GPS to the white/black cables (green/brown connectors)- which are easily accessible - but was unable to acquire any signals.
What is the disconnect system? And the table top?? :-) Sorry a bit confused!

Maybe you can clarify your original question to me.. What rear panel are you talking about. At first I thought you meant, how do I get to the amps? But now I'm not sure.

and the subwoofer too. The black/white cable is easily accessible thru the swing door but the brown/blue cable is not accessible. I was able to see what I think is the brown/blue cable (covered by gray foam) through the plastic grill above the swing door (the trunk light is there too). This set of cables is on the outside of the metal bracket in the swing door and hence I cannot access it unless I can remove the whole rear panel (driver side).
