I enjoy driving in Sport or Manual modes when I'm having fun, and I've been having fun in this car much more frequently than in my recent ones.
However, I also get a kick out of nudging the MPG counter as high as possible, gas prices being as ridiculous as they still are. In addition, I often have a child or two aboard, and so my driving style changes accordingly.

The TT is my sports car - the A3 is the everyday car. I'll downshift with the paddles sometimes for upcoming hills or other things, but for the most part I think the DSG does a great job of shifting when it should, so I don't feel the need to do it myself.
Now if the A6 had paddles, I'd use them all the time. That transmission and I just don't agree.

Only had the car 3 weeks. Love the paddles, but find they're only really useful on twists and turns. Large turns I lose the paddles and use the stick.

My Audis
