Friends, am in the market for an A3 to replace my '01 S4. I looked for a certified with want I want with no luck. And for what they are asking, it is not such a big stretch for new.
Build at the moment is an A3 Premium Plus in Ibis white, manual with Titanium Pkg and Cold Weather Package. Invoice is $30,423 before destination. For what it is worth, Edmunds "True Market Value" price is about $1000 over invoice, which is what I was figuring, though some here have gotten $300-500 over - though I am not sure if that was on ordered cars. Sound right? I would get some measure of loyalty bonus - probably on the lower end - for owning the S4.
How long are people waiting for ordered cars?

I placed an order for an A3 TDI on Jan 7th. I just checked with the dealer last Monday and they told me the factory has the order but a build date hadn't been set. They suggested I stop back at the end of Feb and they should have a delivery date then.

Keep in mind I went with a smaller dealer who happens to have a very large territory, so they typically can trade production slots with other dealers to get what they need. I don't know if they had to do any of that for me, but it looks like I'll have it by the end of March/early April, which is when I wanted to take delivery anyway.
