Default question for AVINCAR or anyone willing 2 help (06 a3)

'06 a3: I am trying to devise a mount for my DLS U.P. trweter in the a-pillar. I have removed the stock bose tweeter, I was just wondering how you guys (or anyone else) have done it. I am thinking to use metal strapping, but I am not gonna get on it until I have heard from past experience.

Thanks,

This is the only picture I have of it.

I removed the stock tweeters and then used a hole saw and mounted the mounting cup in the stock tweeter grille. I know it doesn't look that good since it's black on beige, but it'll be getting painted to match in the spring. Either that or I'm going to make up fiberglass ones with the cup built in so it's not sticking out as much... but this is how I did mine.

that looks awesome. I just used pipe strapping. it's just flat 3/8 in. wide steel with holes cut out for screws. it works great, I was able to angle them for imaging. thanks.
