Hi Kenny,
Do the Thule fit adapters (#2168) fit into the factory indentions in the door sills? In other words, are they the correct width in regard to the width of the indentations?
I've been waiting for a factory rack for over a month now, and after seeing your pics, I believe that I like Thule's smaller diameter aero bars better anyway...
Thanks for any info you can provide!

the clamp goes over the spot where indentation is.

and a picture of the clamp on my car. You can see how the clamp is actually wider than the indentation.

i just centered them on the indentation and it fits. the nice thing is that the pieces seem to be coated in some kind of rubber so they don't scratch your paint. the audi ones are exposed metal.
check out www.orsracksdirect.com. they're having a 20% off sale. i got my thule setup here and the customer service is great. just make sure to get the 47" bars.
