Question: What is the main beam bulb for A3? Is it H7 ?

Yes, It is an H7, the dip being an H1. BTW, I bought some groovy front indicator bulbs for mine. These look silver until used - then they are a nice orange colour. It's the small touches that make the difference

Is'nt the H7 a single filament bulb? If so, then the combined Main beam/Fog bulb is dual filament. Therefore H4? Please clear this up as I'm interested in replacing the bulbs soon and I don't trust the Audi manual saying the bulbs are H7's!
Many Thanks

The H7 is a single filament bulb, with 2 contact pins, the H1 is also single filament too, but with a single contact, the earth being off the body of the bulb. As you say the H4 is a twin filament bulb, but one is directed down for the dip. I have H7 for my dip and H1 for my main beam,(I physical checked) but this wont help you because I dont have fog lights on mine. Unless there are 3 separate bulbs? Audi manual speaks with forked tongue...
