I'm not sure about the A8, but the interface of the A3's Nav+ system are very well designed and intuitive. Most screens have four corner menus that correspond to the four corner buttons that surround the control **** (which can be turned for scrolling or pushed to activate an option).
Also very cool is the fact that the scroll button on the steering wheel behaves the same -- scroll or click and in most cases can be used interchangeably with the main controller.
One of my favorite features is that I can have my presets be from any band -- (FM, AM, XM).
The nav unit in MP3 mode gives you a good idea (not my photo)...<ul><li><a href="http://homepage.mac.com/willievass/.Pictures/audi/WVA39.jpg">Photo of Nav unit in MP3 mode</a></li></ul>

Whoa, this is great. This looks exactly like the A8 interface - graphics and button layout.
I got to borrow an A8L from work for evaluation and it had ALL the bells and whistles. You could even control the suspension settings from this interface.
The coolest feature, though, was being able to scroll though the radio stations on the Nav screen (showing the full names of the stations.) Only not so cool feature was that when you seek through the Sirius radio stations you couldn't see what songs were playing on the other stations unless you actually changed the station. I hope that will change in the future.
Thanks for the reply.
