Default Re: Bumps feel a little sharper

Bumps in the road feel a little "sharper." That's the best way to describe it.
I'm sure dive and squat remain the same, but perceptually, the suspension feels a touch firmer because bumps come through a little more.

Not much more, but just a little more.

Default I've been saying that for years now - and have mentioned it on this forum

Default Yep; expansion joints and pavement cracks feel sharper than stock.

I noticed this immediately after I installed a Neuspeed. The better tracking and planted suspension is well worth the small amount of added harshness.

Default Of course I believe you. :)

Now I just know for myself how much harsher the ride becomes - from firm(-) to firm, on my personal scale.
Not bad considering how much better cornering ability just became!

Default WD40 should evaporate in a few weeks

so hopefully I'll be OK...

Sounds like H&R should put a warning on their installation sheet.

Default So long as it's a trade you can live with, it's all good :-)

After all, if making the sway bar stiffer didn't matter for the ride, BMW would have their 7 series decouple the sway bars when driving in a straight line:-) It has the added benefit of allowing them to add more twist/load into one half of the bar, to help keep the car flatter in corners. The downside is more weight, complexity, and problems.
