Just washed it today, found that the hatch had disappeared. I recall reading about this happening to others as well. Has anyone had the dealer replace it under warranty?
After all, the car shouldn't be shedding parts along the road.
(I think I'll add a tether to the new one..)

I just posted a week ago. I lost two, both replaced in warranty, but I'm within 6 months

I called the dealer about getting a replacement and they told me about $30 for the part and another $20-30 to paint it. I haven't asked about warranty coverage yet but I've had mine over a year and I think something may have "knocked" mine loose. A few days before I noticed it was missing I had to stop quickly as I came around a curve and saw a garbage truck stopped in my lane. The road was wet and a guy on a scooter behind me laid it down to avoid going through my back glass. When I got out to check on him (and my car) I didn't see any damage and wasn't even sure that he hit it. Closer inspection of the area where the towing hitch cover was showed a few light scratches around it. Let me know if you have any luck with getting it replaced under warranty
