I wouldn't take either, but if I had to choose it would be red. White is just....well white

Close call, but red would probably be my final choice.

Every other car around here seems to be red or white.

Default White = lowest maintenance. Red = highest maintenance (next to black).

If you like both, white might be better. I've had red, white, black, blue, gold/beige colors etc and red is the most rewarding to make look great, but white is the EASIEST to make look great. Very easy to hide chips, dings, etc, too.

If they made Amulet Red, I'd have to go with that, but the regular red they're using right now is just not quite an interesting enough shade of red to me. Garnet red, Canyon red, are both odd 'red' to me. Unless you're a FSU or USC student or something...

So, I guess that'd make my final choice white, vs. red.

Special order Quartz Grey, Akoya Silver or Ebony Pearl Effect Black would be nice, or of course Amulet Red, but I don't think they'd do Amulet even special order as it's not a current color on any Audi - the others are.

So, DSG or stick?

Hey Sarge, I'm looking at a stick (I know the DSG is good!) - I've driven both... I guess I like to be more involved with driving... as for other options: Bose, Open Sky, Sport, Xeons, rear air bag....

I've had bright red cars. Actually not much work to keep nice. Black and dark blue worst.

Default I think red are more 'fun' to keep nice, so they seem like less work. So shiny when 'done'.

Black is a nightmare, blue is kinda bad too, and neither are as rewarding when completely detailed as red.

My red cars, a tornado red 200q 20v among others, have not had clear coat, so they oxidized if not kept waxed, and thus the battle with swirlmarks was always ongoing too.

Clearcoat makes all the difference - and all Audis now come with it.
