Default Reliability Issues so far

Purchased an A3 a few months ago and the first issue cropped up after a month: XM Receiver stopped working and had to be replaced.

A week later I noticed the sunroof noise and a couple weeks after that the glove box decided to stop opening.

Then yesterday morning the check engine light came on. It's not blinking so it's probably something insignificant, but damn.

The A3 isn't made by Mercedes by any chance now is it?

Default Opensky Sunshade...

I rehashing an old complaint, this part has never worked right. It takes two hands to shimmy it back into the headliner.

Other than this, 4500 miles and no major problems.

Default Rattle and hum

There is a resonance in my driver's-side rear door that I suspect is a cracked speaker, but the dealer has yet to find it. They'll try again during my 5000 mile service this Friday.

Also, my A3 has more rattles than the 2003 F150 Lariat that I traded-in. There have been no other problems.

Default I have some "resonance" as well

It's a buzz on certain types of rough roads - I thought mine was comming from the driver's side of the dash, though...

Default Anyone else?

If there is a general rattle problem, I may as well buy a Subaru.

Default I've had the stupid check engine light on several times

and it hasn't been a problem, but it is indeed annoying. I've had my service dept. look at it and clear it only to see it re-appear again. It's definitely related to the alleged loose gas cap. I know for a fact my gas cap is on tight however. Seems to be a glitch in the system but I've been told (incl. on this board) that it's quite common with Audis.

Fortunately I haven't had any other problems (knock on wood).
