Default Removing a pin connector from the quadlock.

I'm replacing the Concert+ radio in my '09 A3 with the RNS-E and I need to move one of the wires (k-line diagnostic) from one of the connectors in the quadlock to another. Can someone give me some detailed insight on how to remove a pin connector from the quadlock? I know that a tiny flat screwdriver or similar is required to depress the little metal tabs on the wire inside the connector, but I don't know how many there are, what side they're on or where exactly to insert the tool(s). Sorry if I seem to be a little over cautious, but I really don't want to screw things up here.

Thanks in advance!

You might also ask in the Telematics forum, if you haven't already.

2009 A3 doesn't have a k-line for the radio/nav, it's CAN only

Hmmm. Does that mean that the RNS-E unit truly plug and play (aside from a little re-coding)?

Default In a non-Bose A3 8P withouth aux in yes

With Bose the Bose wire needs to be moved, with aux in the aux in wires need to be moved, and in either case the FM antenna is plug an play but a fault will be logged and reception may be worse than before because the diversity system is different.

Default Ok so I'll need to figure out where to move the AUX in line as I have the AUX port in the armrest.

Will I still need the VAG-COM to recode the BT, DIS, and multifunction steering wheel, or do all of those work automatically?

Default it may work wihtout recoding

but you will have faults logged. Proper coding of the RNS-E and phone interface is required to get all feaures, the CAN gateway could be left as is but it will log faults if the RNS-E is installed without recoding the CAN gateway.
