Because an used part is unavaible, I'd like to replace the instrument cluster with FIS (part n. 8L0 919 880 F) of my 1999 A3 1.8T Quattro without CAN-BUS with an instrument cluster from an A3 with CAN-BUS (part n. 8L0 920 ...)
Does anyone know if it will fit?
Thanks a lot!

communication problems since it will be expecting to see different modules installed in the car.
Also pin locations could possibly be very difference assuming they even used teh same connectors.. I'd get the correct cluster for your car.

The problem is that I haven't found any scheme of the pin connectors!
From outside the layout is the same, only the clock is digital instead of analogic like in mine...

Till then I"d just try and find the right cluster.. Goign from a non can to a can cluster just things like the line for the MIL from the ECM may be different. How the airbag and ABS control module communicate stuff like that.. Also if ones got an immo or no immo.. or even different immo setups.. you will have alot to deal with.
