Default Looks like 4th gear dyno runs, 3rd Gear would be 20BHP less

most companies use 3rd , if these are 4th gear numbers they look right inline with standard 2.0T gains

most companies use whatever gear is close to 1:1 4th gear is closer to 1:1 than 3rd

3rd gear ratios are 1.464 & 1.469, 4th is 1.079 & 1.098

Default Industry standard is the gear closest to 1:1 which would be 4th gear

I've done hundreds of dynos on various VWs and Audis and never once used 3rd gear.

by using the gear closest to 1:1 you eliminate the problem of torque multiplication through the gears..

Default Drivetrain loss is not going to change with gear unless you factor in the torque changes

If you did that then it would not matter what gear you use as it would cancel out that torque multiplication of the gear and just take you back to drivetrain loss.

From my own personal testing with 02A and 02J gear boxes using some early 1.8ts which were consistant and also VR6s which are almost always dead on 13.5% is highly accurate. I have not had any time to do good testing with an 02M or 02Q but for arguements sake it should be very similar.

Also the numbers above are not wheel numbers they are crank numbers and I am not sure what kinds of drivetain losses they used.
