Revo chip or any other

Re: Revo chip or any other
i can only speak of APR, cuz that's what i got.
pluses: smooth power, lots of low end tq, EMCS(when it comes out)
minuses: engine lets up a bit at 5000+rpm, D mode is even more conservative, chip makes me want to race every car i line up with :-)

I have APR also....
I dynod the car , i made alot of hp and trq but like norcal said power falls off at about 5400 rpms. I would def. go with giac though , im going to make the switch soon . If you can wait i can tell you the differences.

The power drop off is the microscopic turbo we have stock
It can't hold onto the boost on the top end.
I've found shifting at 6K puts you right back into the meat of the powerband.. anything higher and you are just wasting time reving it out.

Re: Revo chip or any other
I like my Neuspeed chip, I guess some of the other chips drop power at 5400RPM and since the DSG when it shifts drops at 5000 RPM they don't have much usable power according to there owners , the Neuspeed holds good power until 6600 RPM.
It just keeps pulling and pulling and all of a sudden you realize you're at 100+
