Not much of a story. Other than being very lucky. I bought it from a young man going to school here from Mexico. His uncle was a VP for Volkswagon SA, which is how I suspect he got the paperwork necessary to get it registered in the US.
When I bought it , it was already titled in the US as a S3.
I have a friend who has told me, those of us who are lucky enough to own cars like this are really just care takers.
I hope I am being a good caretaker.
