S3 for USA? YES! A3 3.2? No more.

A3 was never intended to compete with the EVO, STi, or Caliber. My sources have not commented
on a North America specific S3 or something like along those lines. As commented before VW has twincharging, but 1.6 is the largest reference I've seen thus far, and a DSG unit that can handle the power of a 3.6 VR6 is larger than the present unit which precludes the present chassis. VWoA has already moved beyond the idea of the 3.6 in the present car, and is asking Vortex members whether they want the R32 on 3 door or 5, and stick or DSG.
"We'd call the steering ambiguous and inclined to carve a weavy track. Torque steer, unfortunately, was more noticeable in the 1.8 than the torque itself. The 2.4 CVT versions bordered on unruly at full throttle. We hope later cars will be better."<ul><li><a href="http://www.caranddriver.com/article.asp?section_id=19&article_id=10762& ;page_number=2">Car and Driver</a></li></ul>

and actually i was wondering about the biturbo possibility for the S3 along with talk about discontinuing the A3 3.2.
but the more info, the better.

Please, no... I just ordered a 3.2..
If this thing comes out, in AWD + DSG, I'd be very tempted to trade early, but then,it'll devalue all the existing 3.2's out there, especially if it's much lighter up front...
