Ah, I was referring to it as more of a performance feature.
People were saying that the competition mode would leave the coupling engaged during deceleration and braking so it would use the engine to "brake" and give other desirable full-time AWD characteristics.
Since there is zero mention of that in the press release, I'd assume that they have chosen not to add that feature.
Not surprised though that it uncouples during ABS braking and ESP though.

This could get complicated..
Let's see now.. We'll have three DSG operating modes, three Haldex modes.. Nine possible drivetrain operating modes..
I wish the No-Switch installation would have the controller detect the DSG mode and set itself to a correspondingly, "D" = Normal, Sport = Sport, etc. "M" = Race..
Let the user override with the switch, or leave it in automatic..

I highly doubt DSG has any effect on the haldex coupling
remember, there are plenty of manual transmission cars with a haldex coupling. Just think of it as a ferrari with the different traction control settings on the steering wheel . . . independent of transmission inputs.

By saying it uncouples during ABS and ESP, they imply engagement during normal braking.
Otherwise, why mention that it disengages in those particular situations, since normal units disengage during any braking action.

Doubt it . . . . the regular genII didn't.
If they're going to make any changes, i'm sure it would have been completely outlined on that sheet. There's a nice 10 page (i think) thread about this on fourtitude. Explains the advantages and disadvantages of haldex . . . and one of them is that it is not engaged under braking.
