So it looks like at least a few now want a quick smaller car.

Default I'm thinking about taking a drive up there in the near

future. I love driving up to wine country though. Last year I drove the Touareg up to Sonoma and Napa and it was a lot of fun..beautiful country.

Default Take 101, jump off to head for Fort Hunter Liggett (sp?), then take

Ferguson Naciamento Rd (bit bumpy and drops into the next postal code but fantastic views) over to PCH not too far south of Carmel. Another alternative is to come up 101, then take whichever route you wish to get onto the main length of Carmel Valley Rd.

If you use PCH for the main part, try staying at Deetjin's Big Sur Inn. Very quaint.

Try to make it for the Hysterics (Historics) in Monterey in August. Make sure you have lodging though.

See ya!!!! :-)

Default Mmm, Big Sur.

Drove that in my <gasp> 93 Probe GT and thought it was an awesome drive back in 93.

One day, I'm taking the A3 up that way.
