Default so what's a good price for a 3.2 A3?

with the following options i get these prices (including destination, but no other taxes, fees, etc):

moro blue, cold weather, open sky, xm radio, bluetooth, bi-xenon

retail price: $38,835
dealer invoice price: $36,112

obviously, i'd like to get as close to the dealer invoice price as possible. realistically, how close to it do you think i can get with good, hard bargaining?

thanks.

Default 3 Dealers in North NJ were $700 - $750 over invoice

The $750 was from a Costco dealer. I ended up choosing closest dealer that I also had good luck with service in the past.

With the price quotes that close it was a no brainer.

My car was SO with Roof Rails and w/o open sky.

Last time when I ordered my B6 A4 I went with the cheapest dealer that was 25 miles from my house. It was a real hassle to bring in for service and their service was lousy. Something else to factor into your decision.

Default i've got a quote from a central jersey dealer for $1000 over invoice...

will be talking with my local dealer tomorrow...they have always provided good service. there are 5 other dealers within about 35 miles -- i'll be talking with them, too.

thanks for the information! very interesting.
