Default sorry for the Noob question.....but between APR, Revo, Neuspeed, and GIAC chips.....

which one is the the most complete as far as power and driveability? This would be for an 07' 2.0T with DSG and running on 91 Craptane. I know the figures on APR (246 bhp and 282 tq) as well as Revo (260 bhp and 299 tq, and Neuspeed (252 bhp and 297 tq). I don't see the advertised gains for GIAC nor hear much about their software for the 2.0T. Seems like the choices are between APR and Neuspeed. Any thoughts or feedback would be appreciated. And again, sorry for the Noob ???, i know i could STFU, but just eflt like getting a more detailed answer. Thanks again

Default Hmm, same as on the B5, except that GIAC is little behind.

APR just works, REVO can be tweaked, Nauspeed is a question mark. Dave (crew..) has some analysis posted on VW Vortex to which he links. But you who is coming from B5 S4 will find it somewhat bogus. (E.g. we think CF correction in low tens is fine).

If you are goin to tweak, go REVO. If you are thinking of KO4 ugrade, APR has one out today. So it would make sense to team with them.

Piggie stuffed GT28 there... may want to talk to him. (Oooops, wrong forum. APR has GT28 Kit coming as well.)

I have, sell Revo and continue to recommend to friends with no regrets.

Default APR has a Beta program out as well.

Boost goes up from 17psi to about 20psi. Rec'd for warm weather applications with a full exhaust system. Another option to consider. It's pretty strong.

Go back to your forum noob.

Default A few things.

REVO is not as tweakable as it is made out to be. In fact, the only reason to tweak REVO is to reduce performance. There's only so high you can crank the boost and timing *****, and it's pretty much at that limit with the factory presets.

My testing has also been verified by others, and CFs were NOT the issue with REVO, although it is questionable why someone would want 10 degrees of retard versus 3 degrees of retard.

Further independent dyno testing (same vehicle on the same dyno) has resulted in a better smoother powerband with APR with negligible peak differences from that of REVO.

Nice of you to single me out, but the truth is you haven't experienced APR. If you did, then I highly doubt you'd be selling REVO any more.

Dave

Default I was giving you a plug for all the work you have done.

I do not agree with all of it, but I appreciate the effort you invested in this and I wanted him to know to look at your posts.

If you do not want me to, I will no longer direct people to your work.

I have done my own REVO research and I stand by their product. I have experienced APR on other cars, and it is a good product as well.
