Hi,
I've searched the archives and seen that special order paint (available on other Audi models but not on A3) goes for $2500. I'm looking at Sprint Blue (I know I'm not the first, but I love it and it's close to the Jazz Blue I've had on my GTI 20th Anniversary for years).
My question is: is the $2500 what the dealer pays, and should I expect the dealer to mark up the charge to me?

if it is a "downgrade" like going to cloth seat covers it doesn't cost any more that the $900. However, if you want the Audi Exclusive stuff then it just buys you the right to sit down and pick and choose interior fitments that will usually cost you a whole lot more than $900. Like 3,500 euro for Audi Exclusive leather and 800 euro for Audi Exclusive wood. I read on the TT board that they price the car at the port using the current currency conversion rate at the time. It sounds like quite an adventure!!
