Default Speedometer problem Audi a3 8L

Hi everyone!
I have an Audi a3 8L and my problem is that the speedometer don't show the right speed, sometimes it seems to show the right speed
but most of the time it shows 20-30 km/h less. I have changed the potentimeter in the cluster but it didnt help. Can it be the speedsensor
to the gearbox or the cable?
Would be grateful for advices

It could be the speed sensor if it's malfunctioning or sending incorrect signals to the instrument cluster, it can cause inaccuracies in readings. In older vehicles like the Audi A3 8L, the speedometer may be driven by a physical cable connected between the gearbox and the instrument cluster. If this cable is damaged, worn, or improperly connected, it could lead to erratic speedometer readings.

Check the wiring harness and connectors associated with the speed sensor and instrument cluster. Corrosion, damage, or poor connections can all interfere with the proper transmission of signals and lead to inaccuracies in the speedometer.

Did you put a different wheel size on your car?
