So I've been looking at this board over the last couple of weeks and been into the dealer. The dealer doesn't seem to think the sports package is very good, says the ride is hard.
Does it improve the performace how are the seats?
Thanks!

The sport package is great. Others can probably chime in on this that have more wheel time w/non-sport package. Seats are more supportive and better looking. Tighter feel and probably better feedback from the road to steering wheel. Stiffer spring rates, slightly lower than stock. Rear roof spoiler. Bi-colored 16 spoke alloy rims which I personally like a lot. Of course depending on the type of roads you have to deal with on a daily basis, that may decide which way to go. Here in Socal it's a non-issue. Either way you go is a win-win situation I think. A3 is a great little car.

However, I am glad to have the Premium package for the extra adjustability in the power seat. It allows me to angle the seat bottom for the least fatiguing position to operate the clutch. On a DSG car this might not be so critical.
Someone did mention that the seat bottom of the sport seats were a bit snug.
In the end, drive both. It's easier to add a suspension upgrade, spoiler, and wheels to the car later on, than add rain sensing wipers, homelink, and the power seat found in the Premium package.

The old B3/B4 Passats had these insane seats with what seemed like a ton of dials and levers. You could adjust them any which way, despite being manual.
