Default Springs

If I get some performance springs on my car will this tighten up my handling? or will I need to get the whole system (shocks and springs).

Default You can get springs made to go with the stock dampers

but all they do is lower the car - minimal handling benefits - best get a set of decent coilovers and do it properly. Prime objective with the a3 is to tighten response and lose a bit of understeer - you don't really want to drop it massively lower as mine grounds out on speed humps and big dips anyhow.

Default Yeah I would like the S3 units but don't know if they are available and how much?

I am not looking for a really low car (no boy racer stuff) What i want is much improved handling i have already looked at H&R coilovers and a full Koni set but they both cost about a £1000.

But I am sure Peter will agree with me that the quattro's standard setup is pretty poor.
