Default Could this be the cause?

If the tyre is going onto the sidewall a little as this has no tread, therefore it is like a slick tyre?

Default Re: Dont forget, even at a constant speed in a corner, acceleration is still there.

have to say though I certainly am very rarely at a constant speed going round a corner! Full brakes then full throttle

Default Same corner in 2wd car

may, may not be quieter

chances are that your 2wd driver may be in an understeer (likely for FWD)/ oversteer (likely for RWD) situation, with only the driven wheels squealing.

May be quieter...until the sliding end hits something!!!

Dunno, will the low profile nature of tyres mean that there is little movement, hence the noise?
