Default Static on startup

Just recently got my car and on startup there's a loud static noise that lasts for about a second from the dashboard. I thought maybe it was the radio at first but the noise doesn't sound like it's from the speakers and it even does it with the radio off. It sounds like it's coming from behind the gauges. Anyone else experience this?

Default I get the same thing! It sounds like your tuning a crappy radio for a split second between....

stations. The only thing I can guess is it's the passenger airbag sensor activating or shutting off the passenger side airbag or maybe the radio speakers. I too really want to know what the hell the noise is. I got my car 3 weeks ago and it does it maybe 7 out of 10 times.
