Default Sway Bars?

Hey All,

Does anyone have any advice on which would be best anti-sway bars for the A3? The 22mm by ECS Tuning or the 25mm by Neuspeed? Thanks!

I like my 22mm H&R. Keep in mind that the H&R is solid whereas the neuspeed is hollow.

I'm going with H&R-28/22(F/R).

What are the advantages/disadvantages of both?

Default crew219 is right. H&R!

go with the solid bar.

I have the premium/base suspension which handled like a golf cart. My first mod was a rear sway bar. Handling improved to car-like. I could now take S turns with a lot more confidence. It is still one of my fav mods. No drawbacks what-so-ever.

H&R rear sway.

weight is about the only difference you can get the same strength from a hollow bar than a solid but the diameter of the hollow bar will be bigger, but lighter than the solid.

Default I've heard that only a rear sway bar is really needed to get rid of understeer...

... Is that assuming you already have the sport suspension (in which case I assume it comes with a front sway bar)?

factory rear sway is hollow and not worth a damn.

So what's the upshot? Replace the rear or replace both? (assuming sport suspension)

I heard its to balance the weight to the rear, and reduce understeer.
