...I **actually** CAUGHT a guy in my AllRoad last night. (Yes, most city dwellers DREAM of this.) He had his head in my glove box...so I stood there, thought carefully. I called a friend in the 'hood to come out with me, then I called the police to tell them that I was watching someone in my car. They (SFPD)wanted me to stay on the phone, but then the guy saw me and tried to bolt. A chase insued,(Awesome), my friend cut him off, he ran the other way. As incrdulous as this sounds, I got to lauch myself off a car hood (yes, I left a note) to tackle him on the sidewalk. I stood on his arm and chest while my friend picked up the phone and told the 911 op that we had him on the ground. Police came, cuffed the guy, took a report, smiled at me then told me to wash my hand before I ate dinner, and my wife and I went out to a movie (me with a smile on my face).
I did lose my iPod (it smashed on the ground), but as you can guess, it was well worth it.
