Does the center console bother any tall drivers? I sat in an A3 yesterday and my knee is jammed up against it.

This, red turn signals & the e-brake hitting the armrest are inexcusable design flaws in this otherwise brilliant car.

5'6" here. Knee hits also. Bothered by it at first - not any longer.

I am 6'4" and this design may very well cause me to buy something different...and that would be a shame as I think this a great little car.

I plan to remove mine and get a upholstry shop to build me something without the handles this coming spring. It is probably less than $200 to take care of this problem. Don't let it keep you out of this car.

Kindof off topic but have you ever sat in Subaru Legacy. There is NO leg room in those things.

3.2 electric seat goes lower and further back than the others

I'm 6', and my knee LEANS against the console if I want it to. The way I sit, it could not possibly be jammed up against it.

BTW, the A4 gives me more problems with this--its console seems to be wider, intruding more into my leg space.

Anyway, the A3 situation is something I noticed after a while and have forgotten since then. Your post brought it back.
