The only reason they're bringing it at all is that it's the same drivetrain as the Jetta TDI.
So they don't have any additional expense for emissions testing. If they add 6MT or Quattro then you wouldn't be seeing one for sale at all due to the cost of certification.

But concerning approved setups for emissions, isn't a 6MT available with the Jetta
TDI? It might come down to the fact that most consumers don't want to row their gears anymore and Audi is focusing more on DSG trannies. If we want the 6MT and quattro, you gotta let Audi know.
