for those who have gotten/ordered a 3.2, how long did you have to wait/have waited?

Generally the ones on the lot either have everything including navi, or there are some more base modeled 3.2s. I've also seen the optional 18"s on quite a few of them.
Good places to call would be Empire Auto in Binghamton, Burdick in Syracuse, John Holtz in Rochester. I'm a bit surprised to hear that a dealer locate doesn't bring up much in your region. You should also have them look to see what's coming in on the next shipment. My A3 was "stolen" from another dealer and routed to mine :-)

Filling an order means building the car. Within 30 days from order acceptance. Then there is qualilty inspection, trucking or railing to port, loading on ship, journey, unloading in port, port prep, release to carrier, delivery to dealer, PDI. All of those other steps take the other 60 days.
Harold's ordered 3.2 took pretty much the 90 days. My last client's 3.2 should have been here early Feb but production was delayed and it is now scheduled to arrive by mid March. Happens.
I found mine while it was on the boat, so I saved quite some time.
See below, and it has black interior, 2X, BT, OS, XM, CWP.
