Of interest...
I am a new Audi A3 owner (as stated before) and I found some new display that the manual doesn't cover.
Can anyone help me with the folowing: In the Time & temperature display (in the main RPM window) on the left bottom (next to the temperature + sign) every now and then I see a small star like symbol appear, what is it for? Why does it appear just occasionaly?
Thanks

A snowflake? Nice, thanks for the heads-up. The sensor must be looking at the relative temp (including wind chill) to get the warning out. Where the temp dips below 32 deg F (or 0 C). Nice little function.....

Certainly that's not cold enough for ice, but there could be left-over ice on the road from prior freezing temps.

Makes sense. Eventhough the temp is at 40 deg F, a shadow patch on the road might still be below 32 deg F and have black ice.
Though I won't see that often here in the high desert (Mojave desert, south-central Cal.) even though the tem does reach even the 10s over winter, the relative numidity stays below 10 % for most of the days. But on ocassion I do have to scrape ice from the windshield

Actually, it kicks in exactly at 5 deg C which is EXACTLY 41 F, it's the threshold. At 5.5 C it disappears, but that's 41.8 F.
