Default Tint suggestions

Time to get some tint to make the car more beautiful than it already is.

Any suggestions on what brand or type of tint to use that will not effect radio frequencies and GPS?

Any suggested shops in the Orange County area? Prices?

Default Antenna location

Anyone know where the antenna locations are for
AM/FM/Nav?

Default The AM/FM radio and keyless entry antennae are in the

hatch frame, above the glass. The shark fin contains the GPS, satellite radio, and cellular antennae.

Default Re: The AM/FM radio and keyless entry antennae are in the

Thanks Mike. So will a semi metallic tint on the hatch window affect the radio reception?

Got a brand of tint you recommend?

I was looking at the Solar Gard HP tint and 3M Color Stable Carbon tint.

The Solar Gard has metallic content but the 3M does not. If tint does not affect the reception I am swaying towards Solar Gard.

Default I'm no tinting expert, but since they're not actually mounted on the glass itself,

I should think that it wouldn't cause any interference.

Default I went with Solar Guard

32% for the front/rear windows. 22% for the tailgate.

No problems with reception.

Default I went 3M for their reputation

From what I've found, its harder to be a 3M dealer/installer than for most brands. I did 20% on the rear 5 windows and I'm VERY pleased with the way it blends with Lava Grey; it looks like it was created for the car. I paid $159.

(I hope you're not the same guy that posted about this over on fourtitude because I gave the same response.)

Default Just a few quick shots I just took

I'm really **** about photos but I figured there was no harm in posting a few for reference. Doesn't show up on film as well as it does in person, but the 3M 20% tint is a good match to Lava.

http://photos.tobinhosting.com/mikemacdonald/a3/</a
