Default Tow-hook cover

A strange thing has happened. I recently went into Audi to get my 25k service and when I went to pick up my car, I noticed that my tow-hook had somehow disappeared. No worries, they ordered me a new one and put it back on. A week later, with a lot of rain down here in LA, it's once again missing.

Has anyone else had anything like this happen? It seems strange, no?

I've lost 2 on my S-Line A3. Both times it happened during rainy days (also in L.A.). My theory is that the back blast of water coming off the rear tire is popping out the cover. I'm not happy having to pay over $30 for a replacement that's primer gray and doesn't match the bumper. This tow hook cover issue is obviously a design flaw. I'd encourage everyone that loses one to call Audi's customer care number and bitch a little. Maybe they'll get around to recalling it.
