Default I've only seen one in person not on the dealer's lot.. it's AoA fault

offer quattro and other options for the base model 2.0T.

We don't get much choice in what we want on the low end, so I'm not going to buy what I don't want and I can't get close to exactly what I want, so no money from me.

AoA will consider teh A3 a dud but it's their fault, not ours. And they wonder why Americans aren't a hatchback market. We ate the R32 up to the point that they are selling new for 38k (yep, it's true) but when we want something with more luxury and better fuel efficiency with quattro we can't get it. Whoever made the decision to only offer quattro on the 3.2 model should be taken out, tarred and feathered, then shot.

You'd think they would have figured that out by now.

Default I've seen 4 A3s, 5th is mine, first in the neighborhood probably

So, I'm an A3 owner now. Bought it Friday, for my wife.
We all know how great this car is by now, but from my discussions with the salesmen... they are not happy with the way Audi handled the promotion and sales of the A3.
First, there's very little profit built into the car, secondly, there's almost 0 promotion or support for it. They blame AoA for this situation. However they expressed some hope for the next period after the changes at the top at AoA [Hunt gone].

In terms of volume of A3s sold, I kept an eye for any A3 sightings in my neighborhood. This is a well off small suburb, where bimmers, mercs and audis are most predominant. I've seen only 4 A3s since May, on peripheral streets, close to the freeway. Mine I think is the first one in town!

The Q option on the 2.0T would've add at least $1,5-2K to the basic price, plus SP or Premium package, a desirable car would be around +32K. Probably too much and too close to the A4 to make it sellable. And honestly, the car behaves very well w/o the Q option.

Default I've seen a couple just recently here in Orange County

but that's it. Surprisingly very few spotted to date though there's supposed to be a bunch of them around here. The ones I do see are always Lava Gray or black.

Default I've been trying to figure that out myself. I hate to say

it but I think he may have dumped his A3. I actually posted a couple of times asking where he went and not a single response. Considering how often he posted here on AW it's just strange that "brother" would suddenly outright stop. Where you at bro???
