Hi all,
I've bought a cheap cable 10$ from Amazon and plugged to my laptop, but all 4 apps I tried showed the same result - adapter is connected, but the car computer is not responding. However, it responds to my OBDII WiFi adapter, but that's a different story.
I returned the cable and wanted to buy another one from tons like that on eBay, but they have more descriptions where I found that it's NOT COMPATIBLE with A3 (8P).
I googled more and found this one for 67$ saying it's compatible with A3 (8P) and even provides VCDS v12.
Did someone try it before?
Or can recommend a different one which works?
I just wanna make sure it's not a fraud and finally get a cable to diagnose my ABS problem.

Anything you buy that's not a genuine VAG-COM is a fraud cable. Support the guy that created VAG-COM. He's a small business and really supports the users. Buy it from him and you will save thousands upon thousands of dollars in maintenance costs in the future. I bought mine 20 years ago and it's the single best investment I've ever made for my VAG cars.
