smokes the GTI pretty bad. Unless the GTI driver was the worst shifter on the planet I can't see there being such a difference in 1/4 mile performance. I would guess the A3 is at least chipped and not stock as the title of the video says.<ul><li><a href="http://video.aol.com/video-detail/a3-20t-dsg-stock-vs-gti-standard-en-toluqilla/2519151247">"Stock" A3 2.0T with DSG vs VW GTI 2.0T 6 spd.</a></li></ul>

Longer braking distance as well. But I love my VW brethren all the while...

Default And against the Z3 3.0?

It's pulling away even more so than the GTI!<ul><li><a href="http://video.aol.com/video-detail/a3-20t-dsg-stock-vs-z4-30/2407877740">http://video.aol.com/video-detail/a3-20t-dsg-stock-vs-z4-30/2407877740</a</li></ul>

Default Pity that driving DSG is like driving a video game:)

Fun can't always be measured by 1/4 miles :-D

Default dsg is fun. of course that is subjective. however, u rowers can't argue

that driving isn't ALWAYS supposed to be fun.

If you only have 1 car and you like to text message, crack berry, gps, satellite, customers, kids, save fuel... I'm sure there are days that you wish you didn't have a manual.

That said, DSG vs. Manual. 3.2 vs. 2.0T... It's great to have flavors! And fun to argue "your side" as well

Either way..... dsg is fun enough for me.

Doesn't hurt that I've broken my left leg once in a cycle accident, and left foot twice playing ice hockey. So having dsg is sort of insurance for me
