volume level adjustment on single CD system NOT BOSE.
I thought i read somewhere that the stereo volume will adjust up or down according to perceived road noise?? i haven't noticed this feature in action. is there a setting somewhere or am I out of luck with the stock stereo?

It's pretty subtle.
Press and *hold* 'Menu' until you get the advanced menu. The SVC (speed volume control) setting regulates how aggressive it is in compensation. I have mine at 5.

The Bose system uses "Audiopilot" which adjusts individual frequencies based on ambient noise...
the non-Bose systems uses Audi's GALA which is a speed-related volume adjustment.
