Want a diesel A3? We may not see it, as the engine choices are not considered to be sporty

enough for the image that Audi wants to project in North America - but we may get that choice in the Jetta. I'm sure VW dealers will be making lists and taking deposits very soon. The diesels have a huge following. When I worked at the dealer in Cali, we had waiting lists for TDIs both new and used.

http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/News/articleId=120684</a

To show a diesel powered race car kicking a$$ around the track.
If AoA wants to project an image(of any kind), they need to start actually airing all the commercials we see posted on this forum or on YouTube. When we went to Germany, Audi had definite presence as a brand( ie. billboards, TV spots, displays at airports,...). Audi's presence in US, as a brand, is almost non-existent.

I would love one, but I can only see AoA offering at least a 6 cylinder diesel in the US market, hopefully we'll see it in the B8 A4...

According to Afretes in the Canadian forum, 2.0T and Quattro may arrive - but in DSG only.

https://forums.audiworld.com/canada/msgs/99058.phtml</a
