I will not let the salt remain for more than 7-10 at the most. I'd actually rather go thru the car wash ( at least the one I've been using for 25 years, no other!), than the pressure hose at the self wash. I'm careful to clean the door jambs in the Winter cause crud builds up there. I will go to the self wash every 2 weeks to spray the undercarriage and wheel wells. if its over 30, I do it in my driveway every Fri. USE LOTS OF SUDS, cause all the dirt and salt will scratch. you need to float that ****e off. I like to use a lot of Meg quick detailer to float the remaining dirt off, then some Menzerna High Gloss Acrylic Shield to maintain the Klasse. wash the mats weekly. GET THAT SALT OFF THE CARPETS QUICK. Normally a moist towel will do the trick. I'll use any warm day as an excuse to re-Klasse the wheels. the other day it was 28 and I had the PC out, taking out a scratch in the rear door. now that's sick! ;-)
