I have a Cappuccino oil cap...not a pretty sight i must say.
Its been suggested that water/coolant is mixing with the oil but i have very little coolant loss and i mean little....would this cause the problem?
Not sure how much water/coolant in the oil would be needed to have such an effect to cause the foamy oil cap.
Should i be looking elsewhere for causes?
Would you recommend a pressure test?
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
This is my first Audi and i don't want it to be my last.
Cheers.

Mr. Lee, does it get cold where you operate the car? How extensive is the contamination?

uberwgn,
It's been very cold the last few weeks around minus 12 celsius (10.4 Fahrenheit) I'm in the UK so its never that warm until the Summer.
As for contamination..you mean oil right?...Just the milky foam substance on the oil filler cap and slight deposits on the dipstick.
I will try to answer the best i can...i'm not that well mechanically sound.
Cheers.

Got it, thanks.
Are you certain the coolant is disappearing?
We used to get this condition on one of our cars when the weather was abnormally cold. The water/oil emulsion on the filler cap would disappear as soon as the weather warmed up.

Theres not a vast amount of coolant loss...its very little...about a 5mm drop from a marker on the reservoir tank..over a period of 3 weeks.
Thats why I thought its not that causing the water/oil emulsion on the oil cap.
If its condensation can I cure the problem?.
Cheers
