Read all of this thread, and like Billy Martin once said...
..."I feel very strongly both ways." I think the tires (P6s on my car) leave a lot to be desired, and many poor manners will be cured with a set of T-1Rs or Pilot Sports. BUT...there ain't nothing like Quattro on wet Florida roads when the skies open, and I don't care what tires you're wearing. I want the option to choose, and I'm disappointed I don't have it.

2nd re: tires and quattro.
I think it's deplorable that the P6 has ever been spec'd on any Audi - there are better tires available at the same price, and Audi has, at times, spec'd them.
And I completely share your sentiments re: quattro.
