Default What is the "Bi" in Bi-Xenon?

The answer is probably as simple as the name suggests, but if I understand correctly, there is a form of Xenon that has a blinder that covers the upper half of the bulb which creates the low beam. When brights are selected, the blinder is lifted, thus high beams. Do bi-xenons work the same way, one bulb for low and brights and the second bulb is running lights or something, or is one bulb low and the other bulb brights?

Default yup yup

I believe you're right. The interior light is DRL. And the xenons are shared.

Default So how did it work previously (non-bi-xenon, that is)?

Flapped Xenon low beam and halogen highbeam with another plain bulb for DRL (daytime running lights?)? (3 bulb + Turn signal setup as opposed to current 2 bulb + Turn signal setup?)

What's the bulb on the far left of that set, Ryan? Signal indicator?

Default From side to center: turn signal, HID low beam, halogen high beam.

DRL's can be set by VAG-COM to be either none, the front fogs or the halogens(I think).

Default Hmm, I think I would love to have my fogs as my DRLs!

Anyone in Toronto with a VAG-COM?

I don't know if you can do that with the Bi-Xenons since they have seperate DRL's.
