What do you think of Skoda Fabia?

I think its more than just the issue of the brand and perception, its also about projected quality.
I looked at Golf (no Skoda in NZ), I touched it, I visualised its dash, interor materials, handles, paintwork, door sills etc. after 10 years of use and that's also what made me buy A3 on top of the things you mention.
My point is that the true quality build may not show immediately but many years down the track. And that's A3 regardless of platform-sharing etc.

You're talking about the perceived quality. Well, I'm on my 2nd A3 now (TDI first, 1.6 now) and I have never ahd any problems, no squeeks, rattles, dead lightbulbs etc.
If I hear A4 and Golf-owners complaining I think, is it just me or is the build quality of the A3 better. (Or did I just not get 'Friday' cars ;-) )
