Default When I rip CDs I choose 320bitrate. I'm not sure what Joe is doing. But my SD cards sound good.

I hear you about the benefits of an IPOD. I just wanted to be certain, that he didn't buy it ONLY for the car. Which is now clearly not the case.

I have my laptop with me most of the times, Mobile DJ programs on board obviously. And when I mtn bike and ski/snowboard, I use a sony md walkman that plays the equivalent of a data cd on a md. 4-5-6 full length cds. No skipping. strong durable casing And it has am/fm/tv/weather. Plenty of support for my sporting activity. So I never bought into the Ipod game. Even though I'm really into gadgets.

I did have a Creative Zen with video/mp3/jpeg playback. 20gb drive. But I sold it on ebay, I never used it.

For now, the only time an Ipod gets hooked up in my house, is when friends stop by to get the latest tracks. C'mon over anytime fellas.

Default Friends don't let friends ...

... buy FM transmitters for their audio systems. OOOO-A3 has it right. Go DICE. Would you buy K-Mart day-glo wipers? Come on; this is like any other mod: cheap = cheap = unhappy later.

FM is narrow bandwidth, prone to interference and clunky to use on a trip. DICE lets you use the steering wheel controls and is safer, smoother and rocks.

Default We tried the iRiver FM trans with limited success, now have the DICE link and

wouldn't have it any other way. Very easy for us as the unused plug was in the glove box. 20 minute job including the 2 beers and bathroom break.
