My wife and I have been driving between the Cape and the Worcester area (Mass.) since the end of May (her 5 times a week, me twice a week), and we've yet to see an A3 on the road. We test drove one early in April (Wagner in Boylston;
I've has great luck with them) and thought Audi might actually avoid BMW's fate when they tested this market niche years ago. We both liked the car (we didn't buy one; another story) and are surprised that it didn't take off. Anyone without an axe to grind care to comment?

I, for one, expected the sales to be better than they are. They've averaged about 650 per month... Don't know if that's a supply issue or a demand issue, but I would have expected about an equal number of A3s and A6s... 1500 or so a month. It's a brand new car, it should have generated excitement (and sales). I think offering quattro in the 2.0T would help.
Don't get me wrong... I think the car is great and hoping for increased future sales.
