Also, just to note...
On my long highway commute there is one very long hill where I can put the car in neutral and it stays at 100 KPH from the top of the hill to the bottom. SO at a steady 100 kph, with the car in neutral, the engine idles at .7 L/hour. Every 1000 RPM above idle = 1 L/hour, ac on at 2000 RPM = .8 L/hour.
This just shows how much fuel is needed to run the engine and ac... not propel the car.
