I installed them in July. AMAZING grip in the dry. The wet on the other hand.... AMAZING AGAIN!!! lol. I am incredibly impressed with their grip in rain. It's like the roads are dry.
Now for my question. It's 47 degrees out now and raining. The tires are not rated for below 45 or 47 degrees (something around there/ premium summer). I am being honest, they're STILL sticking. But tonight it'll be 42 degrees and raining.
Has anyone ever pushed this envelope before? I'm going to change them in a week or two. And I wouldn't EVER drive with these tires in the white stuff. But cold + rain + under 45 could = YIKES correct?

Yeah the grip on them is incredible. Just take a look at their ratings on Tire Rack to see how good they score in every category.
No answer for your cold temperature question since I live in SoCal :-)

after an hour looking, I only found a corvette forum member, discussing them in the cold.
in a nut shell. OP said they were ok in the cold. another guy later on, said under 45 degrees is a no-no.
but I couldn't find anything on michelin or tirerack.<ul><li><a href="http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?p=1562706192">http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?p=1562706192</a</li></ul>

and haven't had any big problems. Just be careful as they do lose traction in cold weather.
I've had fine luck changing to my winter setup on the first snow. I live in MN and if it does get into the 30s/40s they do turn into hockey pucks. Last week while driving home I had to brake pretty hard on the freeway and I could feel them starting to lose traction, freaked me out a little. If there is water of any kind on the road that could freeze I try to take my wifes car as these are deadly on any kind of ice.

its the ice on the road, not so much the cold weather until under 25 degrees or so.
Ive seen audi's with their summer tires on all winter in Stamford.
